Happy Halloween to all. I'm going to enjoy going out tonight to see all the costumes, but before I do I'll be giving out tricks or treats to all the little goblins that come calling.

Sugar is bad, it sends your metabolism into a nose dive and should be reduced or avoided
Rice, cake, carrots, potatoes, and fruit juice are high glycemic foods and have the same effects of sugar and should be reduced or avoided
Complex carbs, such as fruits and veggies are necessary with all meals
Each meal should contain 4-5 oz of lean protein such as chicken, turkey, egg white, tenderloin, or fish
Don't skip meals this will slow your metabolism
Take vitamins and minerals to boost immune system
Eat fiber like bran or flax to stimulate a lazy bowel
Add essential fatty acid to your diet like flaxseed or olive oil
Six small meals daily, consisting of protein and complex carbs will increase metabolic function
Water and hydration, encourages optimal body function
